Just as God has given us so many wonderful blessings in life, we have the opportunity to give back to Him part of what we’ve gained financially. This collection is taken up each Sunday, as we read the first Christians did in 1 Corinthians 16:2. As it was used then, the funds collected each Sunday are used to support the local work of the Saint Augustine Church of Christ, overseas mission work that we conduct in several countries throughout the world, and benevolence programs. For our Sunday 10am worship, this collection occurs just after the announcements and you are welcome join us in this worship as well. There is no minimum or maximum amount and if you visit with us no one will pressure you to give or not give. The only restrictions on giving are placed around our hearts and attitudes toward doing it (2 Corinthians 9:7), as He wishes us to prepare before we arrive to cheerfully give something back to Him. With all He has done for us, we’re happy to do it!
